Description

The IoT Patient Health Monitoring Project is designed to continuously monitor important health parameters of a patient and send the measured data to a mobile application or online IoT dashboard. The system uses an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller because it provides built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and can easily interface with different medical and environmental sensors. A MAX30102 sensor can be used to measure the patient's heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂). A temperature sensor such as DS18B20 or LM35 is used to measure body temperature. Additional sensors such as an AD8232 ECG module or a compatible blood-pressure monitoring module can also be added for advanced patient monitoring. The ESP32 continuously reads the sensor values and displays the current health information on an OLED or LCD display. At the same time, the readings are transmitted through Wi-Fi to an IoT cloud platform or mobile application, allowing doctors, nurses, family members, or caregivers to monitor the patient remotely.
