Description

The IoT Based Fire Department Alerting System is designed to detect fire-related conditions and automatically generate an emergency alert. The system uses sensors such as a flame sensor, smoke sensor, and temperature sensor to continuously monitor the surrounding environment. An ESP32 processes the sensor readings and checks whether the measured values exceed predefined safety limits. When possible fire conditions are detected, the system activates a buzzer and warning LEDs. The ESP32 can then send an emergency alert through an IoT platform. A GPS module can provide the location of the affected site, while a GSM or 4G module can be added to send an SMS or communication alert when Wi-Fi is unavailable. The system can provide information such as the location, time of detection, smoke level, temperature, and alarm status. It is suitable for homes, warehouses, offices, factories, schools, hospitals, and industrial areas. For real fire-safety installations, certified fire detection and alarm equipment should be used rather than treating a prototype as a replacement for compliant safety systems.
